Who says you can only say goodbye to delicious food during weight loss? I don’t think so! Just last week, I made a great weight loss meal at home – cold asparagus salad. The taste completely overturned my perception of “weight loss food”!
At that time, I looked at the asparagus in the refrigerator, which was green and straight, and looked very lively. I thought that asparagus itself is low in calories and rich in nutrients. If it is made into a cold salad, it will definitely perfectly meet the dietary needs during weight loss.
I first washed the asparagus, removed the old roots, and cut it into even pieces. Then I boiled water in a pot and blanched the asparagus for a minute or two. This step is to keep the asparagus crisp and tender, and also to kill bacteria. I took it out and immediately soaked it in ice water. Wow, this way, the asparagus tastes so crisp and refreshing!
Next, we need to make a simple sauce. Mix minced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil. The aroma will burst out immediately. Pour the sauce on the asparagus, mix well, and eat! The crispy texture, paired with the sour and appetizing seasoning, is a real treat in every bite.
Since then, asparagus salad has become a regular in my diet. It made me understand that losing weight is not about enduring hunger and unpalatable food, but about choosing ingredients skillfully and making healthy and delicious dishes in a simple way.
So, stop complaining about losing weight! Learn how to make asparagus salad, and you will find that you can still eat delicious food on the road to losing weight!
