Doctors believe that strawberries can reduce internal heat, relieve summer heat, and clear away heat. Since liver fire tends to be more prevalent in spring, eating strawberries can help suppress it. Strawberries are best eaten after a meal because they contain a lot of pectin and cellulose, which can promote gastrointestinal motility, aid digestion, alleviate constipation, and prevent hemorrhoids and colon cancer.
